- When pricing an experience, tourism providers should be aware of the pricing structure of tour products at ports-of-call on the overall cruise itinerary. When comparing pricing, emphasis should be given to those that are immediately preceding, or after the cruise visit to your community.
- Shore excursion sales represent an important revenue stream to the cruise lines. For example, three tours per guest may be sold on a seven-day cruise, or an average of one tour per port per guest. Therefore, cruise lines require a variety of tours at multiple price points.
